For You

So what happened? You've been hearing from us about this new track "For You" that's coming soon...and you even heard a preview on MAD TV (Greece's premier music channel)..but the track still isn't out?

Well what happened was we started working on another version of the track - something completely different from the first version we did...cause we wanted to have a track that had more of the FaDe direction in it ... cause to be completely honest with you the first version was The FaDe trying to be something we aren't and we figured that out after a few weeks of finishing recordings on the song. We started working on another version as a remix BUT it's so fucking good that we are gonna have to go and make it the main release! The other version has been demoted to remix ;)

It's a lesson on compromise. Sometimes in order to make something work you have to compromise a little on your sound and that's cool if u can put out a song that you're still proud of but in this instance we sacrificed far too much from our own style and vibe and were gonna put out a track that wasn't honest and that would have been a huge mistake. The fact that the version we consider more "FaDe" could be a bigger hit (well we think so anyway!) is a testament to that! We'll let you decide...

FaDe back for September

The FaDe had about a 3 day vacation this summer - the rest of the time we were writing and producing new material (both for the band and other artists) with the new FaDe single coming in November 2010!

We previewed some of our material live this summer - and got a great response to all the tracks - but it also helped us to see some weak points in the songs and re-write/re-produce certain ones and scrap other ones which for whatever reason didn't have the same vibe as the other tracks. These tracks are not "dead" - just being taken back to Aquarium Studios (FaDe HQ) for re-imagining and they may end up on a future FaDe release or you might hear them being sung by another artist!

We're excited to be releasing some new music soon...and while we feel Aquarium was a great introduction to The FaDe (along with the great remixes by Angel Stoxx and Tolman) the further we take you on the sonic journey the more you're gonna be able to understand our vibe and the definitive FaDe style!

So...the Revolution continues in September. Spread the word. The FaDe are coming...

"Feel Your Love" closing on 300,000 views.

The FaDe collaboration with Playmen "Feel Your Love" is closing in on 300,000 views. The official video will be coming soon -  watch out for that...see if you can spot The FaDe...anywhere... (in-joke - you will understand when the video comes out).

We are back in the studio for the rest of the summer. Already 2 great tracks have come out of the sessions and we're ready to supply you with the soundtrack to the rest of your year. The FaDe objective stays the same - and the sonic journey is about to move into its next phase!

Feel Your Love is out now!

The recent track we did with Playmen "Feel Your Love" (also featuring production from Alceen and additional vocals from Mia) is out now from Sony Music and went straight to the top of the iTunes download chart on the first day of release! It's currently tearing up radio all over Greece and soon to hit the rest of Europe. You can get the track right here - full preview is below...

The FaDe and Playmen to release new track "Feel Your Love"

We have joined forces with Playmen to release a new track "Feel Your Love". The collaboration also features vocals from the talented "Mia". As mentioned before the track is a blend of the two groups' styles - and is set to take Europe by storm this coming summer. More news coming soon on the video for the track and when the song will be released!

"Aquarium" set for Worldwide release with Sony Music!

The FaDe have been busy the last few weeks - finishing off some new tracks and continuing rehearsals for our upcoming summer tour.
I can also announce that our first single "Aquarium" is going to be released worldwide by Sony Music. Deal was done today - so expect to see The FaDe EVERYWHERE soon! ;)

I can also exclusively let you know that 2 crazy remixes of Aquarium will be coming very soon from the talented dudes "Angel Stoxx" and "TolMan".

New track ready this week!

The new FaDe collaboration that I mentioned a few days ago will be ready this week - with final recordings happening in the next few days! Expect the track to be officially released b4 the summer time - with a crazy video to go with it! Being a collaboration - the track is not out and out FaDe style - but myself and Priest are also preparing a FaDe remix for the song for our live shows. 

As for which group we are working with...that's coming soon! Let's just say it's one of the biggest dance groups' in Greece - and we're enjoying working with them!

The FaDe on MAD TV

Recently, the "Aquarium" video was featured on the homepage of "MAD TV" - a major Greek music channel. You can make us out there on the right of the picture.

The video is now set to play on the tv channel itself as well as...MTV! We're just waiting now for news of the exact date and time both channels' will start showing the clip.

The sonic journey of The FaDe is about to begin...tune in and let us know what you think !!

Latest Recordings

We recently finished pre-production on a new track with one of the biggest groups in the Greek dance music scene (all will be revealed soon!) - the record should be finished next week so expect to hear more about that v.soon. It's the first collaboration we've ever done - but I think we picked the right guys to work with.The record is a mix of the two bands' styles - but still has enough FaDe characteristics for you to know it's us! Expect a crazy video to go with the track - once again the visual mastery will be coming from Adel Sanoussi - the man behind the Aquarium clip!

My name is B-Sykes and I'm the lead singer and co-writer/producer in the electro-pop/alternative group "The FaDe". 

I made this blog to let anyone interested know what it's like to be in an up and coming group  - the path we are taking which we hope will lead to success - the ups and downs that go with it - and to describe daily what it is to lead "The FaDe" life !
